ESMOD Berlin – Sustainability in Fashion presents Master projects during Berlin Fashion Week

ESMOD Berlin M.A. – Sustainability in Fashion presents cutting-edge Graduate Collections from their Master projects of 2014 at the Greenshow Room and Ethical Fashion Show during Berlin Fashion Week AW2015.

Returning for another season, ESMOD Berlin is pleased to take part in the trade fairs by Messe Frankfurt during Berlin Fashion Week 2015, with the fairs moving to the heritage listed location of Berlin’s old Postbahnhof. The change in location is a result of increased demand for participation, which has more than doubled this year, a positive indication of how more and more labels are making sustainability at the core of their design practice.ESMOD Berlin will showcase selected Master projects of nine graduates from 2014 who have spent one year in the intensive program. As with any Master program, the students are engaged in a self directed research project which leads to diverse outcomes, from men’s and women’s ready to wear, accessories, innovative marketing concepts, collections aimed for the luxury market, knitwear and high-tech performance wear combining sustainability with desirability. In order to realise their pioneering collections, students are required to cooperate with fashion and textile companies locally and abroad, as well as developing a sustainable business/brand strategy considering economical conditions required for the establishment of a future fashion label.
